In our last blog we looked at the versatility of the WaterFurnace Synergy3D to provide ducted heating, ducted cooling and heated water for your hydronic heating system. In this post we will introduce you to the star of the WaterFurnace range of geoexchange heat pumps the 7 Series.
The WaterFurnace 7 Series water to air geoexchange heat pump can provide you with the ultimate in home comfort and performance by utilising a series of ducts throughout your home somewhat similar to a standard ducted air conditioning system. The 7 Series is built using the latest technologies and highest standards to provide one of the most efficient heat pumps on the market.
Sizes and Efficiencies
The efficiency ratings are vastly greater than ordinary conditioning systems and 30% higher than current two-stage ground source heat pumps. The Aurora communicating controls work in unison with the variable capacity technologies ensuring that the variable capacity compressor, variable speed loop pump and variable speed blower motor combine to offer a level of comfort you have to experience to believe.
The efficiencies we can achieve from the 7 Series geoexchange heat pump are in the region for cooling COP of 6.3 to 11.7 and a heating COP of 3.5 to 5.3.
The 7 Series is available in a horizontal and vertical configuration to suit a wide variety of applications and is available in a 9, 12 and 15 kW output to suit a wide range of installations.
Smart aesthetics, clever design
The well thought out construction of the 7 Series means the unit is packed in a neat heavy-gauge metal cabinet with a professional grade finish for long-lasting beauty and protection. The system is fully insulated for quiet operation with cleanable foil-backed insulation.
Added features
With the WaterFurnace 7 Series heat pump range we can have access to a full energy performance monitoring system that can give Monthly, Daily and Realtime information at your fingertips to show you how much energy you are using. Add on the Aurora web control and you can have access to the Symphony online dashboard so you can monitor and see all you energy use history via the internet.
This system also allows for a remote service access ensure that the 7 Series is truly a step ahead.
Add on Free Hot water?
When using a 7 Series geoexchange heat pump system for heating and cooling your home you have the option of adding on supplementary hot water with the addition of what is referred to as a desuperheater. The way it works with a 7 Series heat pump is that it preheats your water (that is stored in a hot water tank) when the heat pump is running. The longer the unit operates, the greater the amount of hot water is generated. In the heating mode the hot water is generated at the efficiency the unit is operating at. In cooling, waste heat is recovered and hot water is free!
